Yellowcard Dyskografia

Yellowcard - zaliczany do nurtu pop punk, powstał w 1997 roku, w Jacksonville na Florydzie. Zespół oficjalnie zadebiutował w 1997 roku z albumem "Midget Tossing", lecz prawdziwą sławę zespołowi przyniósł rok 2003, czyli data wydania kolejnego krążka o nazwie "Ocean Avenue". Tak zresztą, nazywa się jedna z piosenek umieszczona na tym albumie. Jedną z ciekawszych rzeczy, na którą należy zwrócić uwagę jest osoba Seana Mackina, który w zespole udziela się wokalnie, jak i bawi nas grą na skrzypcach elektronicznych.

[1999] Yellowcard - Where We Stand

Where We Stand is the second old Yellowcard album that was released in 1999 (re-released in 2004 and 2005).

This album differs from all the other albums, particularly since this was before Ryan Key (current lead vocalist and guitarist) joined the band. It was released by Takeover Records, a label created by one of the band's guitarists, Ben Harper. As the name suggests, the album describes where the band stands. It is currently out-of-print.

Still Standing was Yellowcard's first EP, released 2000 by DIY Records. [2001] Yellowcard - One for the Kids

One for the Kids is the second debut album by Yellowcard that was released in 2001. It is their third full album overall, but the first to include lead singer/guitar Ryan Key.

The song "Cigarette" (written by friend of the band and fellow Jacksonville resident Ian Ennis) was used in 2006 for promotions on Australia's Network 10 for the television show House, as well as "Drifting" being used in the Xbox snowboarding game Amped.

[2002] Yellowcard - The Underdog EP

The Underdog EP is a Yellowcard EP that was released in 2002. Although publicized very little, it tried new styles in Yellowcard's music, making the transition between One for the Kids and Ocean Avenue and was overall well-accepted by fans. It is often mentioned by listeners that during The Underdog EP Yellowcard's style was "maturing". Note the fact that they only have five songs on this album which is because, until "Lights and Sounds", Yellowcard was moving along very quickly and rushing their work. They have been quoted as saying "up until Lights and Sounds we pretty much had no time to listen to what we were releasing."

[2003] Yellowcard - Ocean Avenue

Ocean Avenue is Yellowcard's major-label debut album, their fourth album overall. Ocean Avenue sold 11,000 copies in its first week in the U.S., debuting at #61. Selling 2.5 million copies to date, it is Yellowcard's most successful album and has been certified 2x Platinum for its sales. It was released as an enhanced CD in some countries. The enhanced CD includes a video entitled "The Making of Ocean Avenue" and a previously unreleased video of the song "Powder" (from The Underdog EP). In 2005, this album was released as a Special Edition import, with live videos and music videos. The songs "Way Away" and "Breathing" from Ocean Avenue have been featured on several video games. Other songs have been featured on a movie and a television series.

[2006] Yellowcard - Lights and Sounds

Lights and Sounds is Yellowcard's fifth album, but their second released on a major label and their third to include singer/guitarist Ryan Key. It is also the long-awaited follow-up to Yellowcard's multi-platinum 2003 studio release Ocean Avenue. It was originally to be released in fall 2005 (see 2005 in music) and was finally released on January 24, 2006 (see 2006 in music). A special edition of the album issued simultaneously contained a bonus DVD with documentaries, the music video to the title track and live performances

Although it reached #5 on the Billboard 200, Yellowcard's Lights And Sounds with sales of just over 1 million, failed to match the 2 million sales of their previous album, Ocean Avenue.

The lead single "Lights And Sounds" reached #4 on the modern rock charts. Capitol intended to boost sales of the album by selecting the second single; however, the follow-up single "Rough Landing, Holly" failed to reach the Top 20 of the rock charts.

On its first day of release it reached 4th most popular album on the iTunes charts.
