OPIS: Akcja rozgrywa w roku 1943 i 1993 w Belfaście. Bohaterem 'starszej' części jest pilot bombowca, którego maszyna rozbiła się w pobliżu miasta. Przed śmiercią pilot wręcza przypadkowo przechodzącemu mężczyźnie swój sygnet z prośbą aby ten oddał go jego narzeczonej. Akcja drugiej części koncentruje się na mężczyźnie, który 50 lat później odnajduje rzeczony sygnet i dociera do kobiety, której był przeznaczony.
